Cookie policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This page explains which cookies we place on your device, what they are for, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember certain information from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next: your language, your preferences, or the fact that you have already responded to the consent banner.

In Quebec law, the French term témoin is also used for cookies. We also use the word "cookie" to refer to similar technologies: invisible pixels, browser local storage, session identifiers.

2. Our principle

Nothing is placed without your agreement, except what is strictly necessary.

Essential cookies are placed automatically because the site cannot function without them — and because the law does not require consent for them. All others wait until you say yes.

3. The three categories

🔒 Essential — no consent required

Necessary for the site to function: remembering your consent choice, form security, load balancing. Without them, the banner would reappear on every page.

📊 Analytics — placed only if you accept

Allow us to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, visit duration, device type, source. The IP address is anonymized. This data is aggregated: it tells us that 40 people viewed the packages page, not who they were.

🎯 Marketing and advertising — placed only if you accept

Allow us to measure the effectiveness of our ads and show you relevant ads on other platforms. These are the only cookies that involve sharing with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Cookies we place

5. How to manage your choices

On this site. The consent banner offers three equal options: Accept all, Reject all, and Customize. Rejecting is as easy as accepting — by design.

You can change your decision at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of each page. The change takes effect immediately.

How long your choice is kept. We remember your decision for 30 days. After that period, the banner reappears so you can reconsider.

In your browser. You can also block or delete cookies directly:

Browser Path
Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
Safari Settings → Privacy
Firefox Settings → Privacy & Security
Edge Settings → Cookies and site permissions

If you block essential cookies, some site functions — including remembering your preferences — will stop working.

Targeted opt-out. You can also refuse Google audience measurement using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. Refusing has no consequences

Refusing analytics and advertising cookies does not restrict your access to the site, information about our packages, or your ability to contact us or book. No content is withheld and no price changes.

7. Cookies placed elsewhere than on this site

Online galleries. Photo galleries from your events are hosted by our providers (Booth.events, Snappic). These platforms place their own cookies, governed by their respective policies.

Embedded content. A video or map embedded on a page may place cookies from the relevant provider as soon as it is displayed.

8. Your rights

Analytics and advertising cookies collect information that may concern you. As such, you have the rights described in section 16 of our Privacy policy: access, rectification, deletion, withdrawal of consent.

To exercise them: privacy@creago.ca
Privacy officer: Maxime Larrivée
